UPDATE January 2022: Decided to try it again. New updates have vastly improved it and stability has increased. Amending to 4 stars. ********************************** Was good. Invasive and glitchy ads have ruined it. I have a paid subscription to the Daily Progress and I like their news, but there is no way to sign in on the app that I have found and no way around the full page video ads which are both irritating and occasionally crash the app entirely. Uninstalling.

Stale news, no news refresh, when viewing while traveling, shows THAT local weather not home, w/no way to override. Heck, doesn't even have options.

Use DP website instead Very slow to load, large ads everywhere, and articles in the wrong category. Overall, this is a clunky and annoying news app, better to simply pull up the website on my phone.

Shows tons of ads Every link shows ads and ad placement between stories as well. If that wasn't bad enough, then they freeze you out after 25 views. Ugh. And most of the stories are rehash AP, and they don't update. There are better local news sources in Charlottesville.
