Description
With FRITZ!App Wi-Fi you can keep an eye on your wireless network at all times. Use the FRITZ!App Wi-Fi for an easy connection from your Android smartphone or tablet to the wireless LAN of your FRITZ!Box or any other Wi-Fi router. The FRITZ!App Wi-Fi also provides you with useful details about the existing wireless connection. A graphic diagram presented in the FRITZ!App Wi-Fi offers you additional transparency about the channel assignments of the various devices in your wireless LAN environment.
Since August 2018, Google's technical guidelines allow Android apps to display information on the wireless environment only if "location" rights have been enabled for the app. FRITZ! has no influence on these Android guidelines.

*Information about the WiFi throughput test: the performance and hardware of your android device can have an impact on the result. During the measurement your wireless LAN can be slowed down.
Information about the user rights required for this app: • Near Field Communication: is used to control wireless connections via NFC/Android Beam • Device ID: The device ID is used to store the password securely in each individual device. • Call information: Along with the Device ID, the call information belong to a group predefined by Google. This call information is not used by the app. • Microphone: The microphone and the camera belong into a group predefined by Google. This microphone function is not used by the the app. • Access to the camera: necessary for reading the QR code • Vibration: Haptic feedback to confirm that the QR code has been read • Camera flash: May also be needed to read the QR code • Wake lock: For switching the screen timeout on and off • Change or delete contents of USB storage/SD card: For the sharing function information is cached locally before sending • Test access to protected memory: Check for write rights on USB storage/SD card for sharing function • Change network connectivity: Establish and clear wireless LAN connections • Change system settings: Save sorting sequence of radio networks • Location: Due to restrictions of Android 6.0 access to location is mandatory to display your surrounding wifi network information • Call up wireless LAN connections: Check whether Wi-Fi is switched on/off • Call up network connections: Check status of wireless LAN connections • Access to all networks: Query of the FRITZ!Box firmware/model number

Perfect Wi-Fi tool. But it would be even better if it could support channel 149 and above in the 5 GHz graph on the LOCATION tab.

This app is to test your wi-fi and help you find a good location for any Fritz Repeaters. It's quite good at doing that and can help you find weak spots in your Wi-Fi coverage. This app will not help you set up your router and/or access your Fritz!box admin panel

This app is very good and does its job. However, I don't know why it doesn't allow us to see channels 149+ in the 5Ghz band... And they're allowed in the EU I'd like it if you added support for those channels in the related graph :)

Seems to work on Austrian Phones in Austria that are on T-Mobile's German Wi-Fi Network. If in Austria on phone bought on ATT's USA Network, which works on any Austrian Wi-Fi, then it doesn't work on FRITZ! Extender 600. Likewise, if you have a phone bought in the USA, & is on ATT Network, AND it will work on the T-Mobile Magenta Wi-Fi Modem close to it, it no worki on Extendr FRitz! Repeater 600. So, for 45.59 Euros, it doesn't work. Back to the store with it. Sad! Traurig! No testing!

Internet speed shows as double actual speed. You say this is the WLAN speed. If the WLAN speed is 43 Mbps but the internet speed is 22 Mbps, what is the actual speed?

I have only downloaded this app because I needed to set up my new repeater. The app doesn't recognize my FRITZ REPEATER so it's basically useless for me. I wanted to use it to help locate the best position for the repeater but if the app says there isn't one, while I am actively using its Wi-Fi in my house, is just trash. I'm really disappointed because fritz products are so good in general. Yeah and im also really pissed off that you want my location data when it's not even working. Its bad guys! Sry

App and help Websites from avm do not work at all. Network just keeps removing all Devices. Can't connect any device, can't change settings and even with the App it's no use.
