App is very simple to operate, and you can access all the devices without any hassle. However, the functionalities to set schedules to thermostat cannot be controlled directly in the app and one would need to open fritz box app is a bit tiresome. We are relying currently on Amazon Echo to set such routines but still is not 100% efficient as any interruption in the internet service is affecting the routines and is not energy efficient anymore.

Great app, and great suite of basic elements for smart homes! This is how IoT should be, no internet access bs, no subscription bs, just connect through your LAN or set up a VPN in your Fritz Box Router. All that within an app that's currently less than 100 MB. The Fritz Box even provides an API with documentation available online. I would honestly even pay a small subscription, but only under the premise that everything stays free for non-paying customers. The prices for the elements are fair.

Good. But the holiday function is missing. If you forget, the plans are executed. Now it is warm earlier, and I cannot set a virtual holiday for heating to stop. Would be good for climate and purse. (This function in web interface is too buried...app access is needed).

My Comet DECT thermostat was not found by the app, although on fritz.box site I can see it in Smart Home section and can control it fine.

I posted a review here a few months ago and was told to create a ticket. I did: 6409641. I can now say with 100% confidence my original review was accurate and reflects this products' functionality, performance and durability exactly. This app is failing the hardware. There is so much potential for a great product, but the software is buggy and lacks basic features and functionality of similar priced products, elsewhere.

Pictures in the description are from the iOS app as far as I can tell. Only installs a comparatively dated looking app on Android that takes ages to connect. On my flatmates iPhone it has the new UI and connects instantly. I also got the apk from the Fritz website and it is the same.
