By yzyy, from Google Play“Idle asteroid mining. Watch the drone, identify crystals, fill the collection.”
Description by yzyy Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Deep Sky Prospector is an idle mining game about collecting, not about numbers getting bigger. Send the drone out, put the phone down, live your life. When you come back the hold is heavier and there are a few unidentified crystals in it — and that is the good part.
WATCH THE DRONE
The mine screen is the game. An illustrated asteroid field outside the porthole, your drone drifting out to a rock and back on its slow work cycle, a meteor now and then. Nothing on screen is fake: a spark and a chime mean the engine really rolled a strike. There are no numbers flying at you and nothing to tap to make it go faster.
IDENTIFY THE CRYSTALS
Rocks come home unidentified. The spectrometer reveals a few a day, and that reveal is the whole ceremony — a slow sweep, then a jewel. Sixty species across six regions, from grey rubble to a prismatic thing that should not exist.
FILL THE COLLECTION
The codex is grouped by region and reads as a ladder, so you can see your progress without reading a word of it. Every Epic, Legendary or Mythic gem is its own find, carrying 1, 2 or 3 bonus lines rolled when it is identified, and a line's kind never changes. Shelve it in the display case and those lines help your ship, such as a bigger hold, faster strikes, more rich veins or shorter expeditions. At the workshop bench a reforge rerolls one line's strength, never its kind, and you keep whichever roll you like better. Refine a duplicate into its prismatic form. Buy a backdrop, a pedestal, a nicer light. Fit your drone with parts you can actually see bolted onto it.
SEND THE SURVEY DRONE
Spend some ore to send the survey drone on a 6- or 12-hour expedition to any region you have opened. It comes back with a sealed parcel (crystals, an ore lump, a page of the ship's log, a homing beacon or a piece of cabin decor) that waits for you and never spoils.
HONEST BY DESIGN
- The odds are published, right there in the app: 45 / 27 / 15 / 8 / 4 / 1 %, and so are the odds for gem lines and the reforge.
- The pity counter is visible. You always know how close you are.
- Offline earnings are real, generously capped and never quietly halved.
- Nothing you own expires, no timers punish you, no energy bar, no daily streak to lose. Daily scans reset at midnight and do not pile up.
- Ads are opt-in where they matter: watch a short video only if you want one extra scan today, up to eight. There is one small banner, and Pro (a single purchase, no subscription) removes it, unlocks four cabin cosmetics and lets you take those same eight extra scans without watching a video. The daily limit is the same for everyone; Pro never sells luck: it adds no scan beyond that limit and changes no odds or pity. It only skips the video for those same eight scans.
ALSO TRUE
- A home-screen widget shows the hold filling, the crystals waiting and today's scans. No button on it: collecting is something you do inside.
- The game itself works offline — the drone, the reveals, the codex. Ads and the Pro purchase need a connection. No account, no sign-in, nothing to register.
- Your save lives on your device, and in your own Google backup if you have Android backup on. We keep no copy of it.
- Ten languages: English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Português (Brasil), Deutsch, Français, Bahasa Indonesia. The game follows your phone's language, or you pick one in Settings.
- Made for players 13 and up.
A small business in the asteroid belt. Take your time.
Recent changes:
New: on your first day, when today's free scans run out, the game offers once to let you know when your drone's hold is full, so you can come back to collect your crystals. It's optional, off unless you tap it, and never at night. If you allowed usage statistics, we also count anonymously whether that offer helps.
