Detox: Ingredient Checker

Scan what you use. See what's in it. Detox your home, one non-toxic swap at a time.

Detox My Life is an ingredient checker AI scanner that looks at the product itself — no barcode, no database to miss, and no ingredient panel required. Point the camera at the shampoo, the dish soap, the cooking oil, the candle, the kids' sunscreen, the non-stick pan. It reads the panel when there is one, and when there isn't it works the rest out from the brand, the kind of product, or what the thing is made of — and it always tells you which. Then it works out how you're about to use it (a bottle of canola on the counter is about to be heated; a pump lotion stays on skin) and researches every ingredient for that use.

EVIDENCE YOU CAN CHECK, IN THE LENS YOU CHOOSE
Every flagged ingredient carries a plain-English claim, why it applies to this use, and live sources you can open. Claims are sorted into three tiers:
• Consensus — regulatory action, systematic reviews, major-body positions
• Emerging — peer-reviewed but contested, recent, or animal and in-vitro work
• Fringe — hypotheses and commentary, labelled as not consensus and shown with the other side
Pick your lens: Mainstream, Cautious or Based. It shows what a wider lens would add, never picks a winner and never hides a source.

A SCORE FOR YOUR WHOLE HOME, WITHOUT A QUESTIONNAIRE
No sign-up, no interview. Start photographing what you use — your Detox Score builds itself as you go, with no account. It is relative: 50 is a typical home where you live, and every swap moves you up. The score is computed on your device by a rule engine you can read; the same inputs always give the same number.

A PLAN, NOT A BADGE
Other ingredient checker apps stop at a red circle. Detox My Life ranks your next three swaps by impact and ease, suggests cleaner alternative types (never brands, never affiliate links), and moves the score the moment you mark a swap done.

ANY PRODUCT, ANY COUNTRY
A photo scan, not a barcode lookup: store brands, imports, the bottle under the sink and the pan on the hob all work the same. Nothing written on it? It still names what the thing is made of, and says so. Or add it by hand — the plan is never blocked.

FREE, AND FAIR
Free forever: the score, five scans a month with full results and sources, your next swap, manual add, and backup. No ads. No account.

NOT MEDICAL ADVICE
Detox My Life shows research with sources and evidence tiers. It does not diagnose, treat, or tell you to start or stop anything. Talk to a professional about your health.

WHAT PEOPLE SEARCH FOR, AND WHAT THIS IS
A non-toxic product scanner, and an ingredient checker by photo rather than a barcode. An ingredient checker scanner for cosmetics, cookware, food and water — the ingredient checker household shelves need, and the ingredient checker cleaning products belong in. An ingredient checker for endocrine disruptors and an ingredient checker for toxins, showing the evidence tier behind every flag on dangerous ingredients. An ingredient checker app free to start, a cosmetic ingredient checker free of ads and brand deals, an AI toxin scanner, a low tox app for the whole home, a seed oil scanner with evidence tiers, and the ingredient checker non toxic living runs on — with live sources behind every claim.

LOOK UP ANY INGREDIENT ON THE WEB
Is this ingredient toxic in a candle, in dish soap, in skincare? The household ingredient checker at adelyons.com/apps/detoxmylife/ingredients has a page per ingredient — level by use, every sourced claim and tier, safer swaps — plus a label checker.

Detox My Life is local-first: your products, scans, plan and history stay on your phone. Only the photo leaves it, sent to our scan service, processed and never stored.

Look up any ingredient on the web. Settings now links to the household ingredient checker at adelyons.com: one page per ingredient the app has researched, with the level for each use (on skin, in food, breathed in, in water), every sourced claim with its evidence tier, and safer swap types — plus a label checker that rates a pasted ingredient list in your browser. Same engine, same sources as a scan.
