★★★★★ Excellent app. I use it on the field to create custom horizons for my astrophotography softwares. I wish it would generate a spreadsheet with ALT-AZ data for export

★★★★★ Saves all kinds of useful info in the photo (visable, not just EXIF header), like GPS, direction you are facing, angle, tilt, time, etc. Like a land surveyor's instrument. Not for every picture you take, but perfect for legal or historical or engineering matters. My initial review complained about not being able to move the app to the SD card, which I later found out was because newer versions of Android prevent it (so you can't buy an app and then share it with someone who didn't pay).

★★★★★ I've used Dioptra lite for archaeological survey over years, occasionally. Although slow to acquire an accurate GPS position and with unreliable elevation data in some areas, it's design and features are hard to improve upon.

★★☆☆☆ Hi. Looks impressive. Not working by me. I assume cep distance is distance to the object and that you must aim the crosshair at the feet of the object. The cep distance is then totally erratic. Of course, if you are using triangulation to determine that distance, you should allow altitude adjustment.

★★☆☆☆ The bearing display is completely wrong compared to the azimuth display. The app must be using a buggy formula to convert azimuth to bearing. It has the bearing Southeasterly and Northwesterly readouts backwards (the degrees move in the wrong direction) Hasn't been updated in almost 7 years, so I doubt it will be fixed.

★★☆☆☆ I use a BLU phone and the version of Android running in my phone is newer than what DIOPTRA was written for. Alas, I cannot use it.

★★☆☆☆ Looks good, seans to work as expected as first time using these types of apps. Just a couple of things. 1. How do I take it off full screen mode as this distortes the image, there is no option for this. 2. Where are the pictures saved to, they are not in my gallery or picture/image folder. My phone is an Oppo A72. If I can get this working properly I will give 5 stars.
