Description

Direct Local Eats is a driver-owned food delivery platform co-operative, supporting local businesses and drivers through fair service fees and and a customer service experience like no other.

Created to support both independent businesses and gig workers in the new economy, Direct Local Eats only charges a 5% service fee to the businesses (compared to 20-35% with other platforms), while paying drivers 90% of the delivery fee and providing them with ownership in the platform.

Direct Local Eats supports local communities by allowing more money to stay with local businesses and drivers, empowering them and their families through a sustainable model.

Love this food delivery app and the idea behind it! It's definitely becoming my go-to considering that it's also better value than others and pays drivers and restaurants fairly (instead of guilting you into more and more tipping to make up for low wages, you know which app I'm talking about...). And the restaurant list is expanding quickly so definitely recommend!

Great idea for an app, unfortunately, the usability of the app is awful as being a packaged website turned into app. Hopefully they can improve it in time. Tried placing an order but failed on almost every step to error messages.
