App is very good and accurate and after installing the App my driving habits improved.

Really makes one very conscious of what you're doing driving wise.

I'm driving my normal route to work. I have 3 curves close together and the app thinks I'm hard breaking. Worthless app. I'm good driver who doesn't speed, nor hard braking and don't use my phone while driving. As of May 26, the app has improved some.

On same case the hard break is wrong is better be safe 😇

The app is easy to use and informative. My one question regards the "context" tracking. Most of my trips are less than 3 miles, but because they last more than 5 minutes (10-15 minutes), my rating is below the average and considered very risky.

How do I drop from 100% to 96% when I haven't driven?! It appears that it automatically assigns driver or passenger status, and you must catch the incorrect info before it disappears. How can something so inaccurate affect your rates?!
★★☆☆☆Dana D· Apr 10, 2026
The "hard brake" measure on the app is useless. If someone stepped off the curb in front of you -- run over them or hit the brakes? Someone cuts you off in traffic -- hit them or hit the brakes? The light changes -- run the light or hit the brakes? Stupid thing to measure and then ding your driving score. And what is "driving context?" And why is it tracking me when I'm walking around? I used an app from AAA that was MUCH better!

EDIT: I had contacted prior This app update requires that you take 20 trips within a 90-day period. For those of us who don't drive often, thus not being on the road, we are penalized for not meeting this quota and our discount disappears. Logically if you don't drive much, instead you take transit, you don't pose much of a problem on the road. So why does AMFAM want to penalize you for this and not give you a discount. You know why? Because the new app update requires it. Make that make sense.

Keeps low and loweing scores despite zero speeding, no phone use while driving and no hard braking despite it reporting hard braking. I feel like this could be a scam to raise rates. The sensitivity for braking must be beyond normal range.
