Drone Pilot Canada

Perfect all you need to safely flight your Drone

I have my Canadian advanced RPAS pilot certification. It is fairly tricky navigating rules, regulations and requirements. Because of this app and Don's online tutorials, I was able to achieve certification and remain current in my knowledge as I earn a living as a drone operator... Thank you, Don and your team. This app is awesome. Every Canadian drone operator should have this app. It is constantly updated with new features.

I could have not asked for a better program. Safe zones, no-fly zones etc. All at your fingertips. Absolute must for any drone pilot!

This app covers the records keeping requirements of drone pilots for Transport Canada. Although relatively expensive, it is professionally done and comprehensive. The various text items are editable if desired. However, the importation of drone and pilot PDF certificates does not work and, as another reviewer noted, there is no way to sync with other devices. Check out the 3 YouTube videos for this app before buying.

I have purchased this app for my flight since it has really good features on it to identify airspace and NOTAM info are accessible right through the app. It also allows you to store multiple drones and pilots. They put lots of effort into this app. I also started my certificate with DonDroneZone YouTube channel and also purchased the advanced study material from Don's Study Guide for the Canadian Drone RPAS Pilot ADVANCED Operations Exam for $54.99 CAD. The reason I give it a 2 star (the app sits at 3 to 4 stars in my humble opinion) is that I didn't receive feedback from Don in regards of search option for location on the app and further more after I passed my advanced which was yesterday I did announce it in his FB group "Drone Pilot Canada Exam & RPAS Regulation Discussion Group" which is a cool community of pilots learning (owned by Don the creator of this app) and fresh information are being provided in regards of changes to the regulations, .....he however deleted my announcement and comments and decided to ban me for no reason. As a customer that purchased his app and study material I must say that I am unhappy with the service and communication (no communication at all) that was brought forward, ....no communication unfortunately for me without any reason to why.... I guess they pick and choose who they like and who they don't like... Moral of the review: If you get the app do, so it is ok and allows you to be efficient with your workflow but don't expect any service after your buy the app. At least that's what I have experienced so far after almost 1 year purchasing this app and following the creator of this app on his social media channels. Email communication is at best one reply and that's after you purchased. I feel not happy with the way they treated me.
