On my current lesson in German there was a sentence where it said "the train will arrive half past 7, Siegen in German, but the answer had 8, acht in German, as the correct answer

Duolingo is a great way to learn to speak and recognize a language. You can learn at your own pace anytime. I use this app to help maintain my language skills during summer and winter breaks between semesters. I've had some great results! These courses are best used with other learning content like textbook and other resources. Editing this because it's now all AI. Forget you guys, not using this app ever again

Fun app for learning new languages, sometimes their explanations are a bit lacking in details on why the grammar is that way. The app gives much, much fewer gems now than before as rewards. If you decide to go free, there is an AD after every lesson which is annoying to push you to subscribe to monthly plan.

2200 days of use. Free OK. Stick with free and spend your money on a different app. FREE only. DO NOT PAY !!! Constant reminders to buy. I play the game for them by watching adverts. I don't expect it for completely free. I still use Duo but have found far better apps. Duo is a money machine now. Used to be so much better, and I believe they were proud of the amount of free users. Never hear it mentioned now. I won't quit....but I won't cry if they ban me for my opinion.

This app made me feel like sht for trying to learn. The bird getting angry and distressed gets me angry and distressed. Not fun.
