Dynalist is smoother than Workflow. Dynalist is like Obsidian but with a free sync feature between different platforms. Dynalist has a Chrome extension for fast note-taking, my concern is that there is no automatic timestamp feature for it. And, Dynalist is a friendly app for new users compared to their other app, Obsidian. I have high expectations from this app. Keep it up Devs!

Nothing but a blank white screen on my Galaxy S5 running Android 4.4.4 Tried on a Nexus 7 running Android 7.1.2, and it works ok, but it needs several key improvements... First, app startup / shutdown needs improvement. There is no clean way to shut down the app. Hitting the back button closes the open document before shutting down the app which also requires you to reopen the document the next time the app is started. This is a serious pain. The app should start up to the last opened file. One can achieve this functionality by not using the back button to close the app but instead forcing it closed using the recent apps' menu but this is a screwy way to close an app. Startup is just way too slow. There is no need to show a splash screen at every startup and if you are using a dark theme, you shouldn't have a bright white blank screen flash in front of your face before applying the user's dark theme settings. Finally, this app is in desperate need of some home screen widgets that display (and allow editing of) the list of your choice right from the home screen. This has great potential but still needs some work to be a serious every day productivity tool. UPDATE 8/18/21... The developers have fixed several of the shortcomings that I previously mentioned, and the app is now much improved. One area for improvement would be to allow drag and drop reordering of list items via press and hold on each line item rather than trying to press and hold on the tiny bullet at the beginning of each line item. Another approach would be a press and hold anywhere on the screen to enter a "reorder mode" that would allow you to reorder as many lines as you want before exiting the mode with the back button. Still waiting on a home screen list widget with transparency though! (the Quick Dynalist app has this functionality already minus the transparency)

I was looking for an outline I could use on my Windows and Android devices. While I like Dynalist's design and how it works on Windows, the Android version is just too buggy. Menu items was that show on Windows are invisible on Android. Too bad. If they clean up all the bugs it would be a good app.

Of all of the many apps I've tried lately, it was the most visually perfect. What I can't wrap my brain around is forcing me to log in with my Google account & the need to be online. Then the fees for the pro version? It goes against the long-standing spirit of the shareware traditions that made computer life so much fun. Anyone could jump into the market to put their knowledge into a piece of software. If it was a good app, money could be made even at a modest fee. Subscription model? Bah.

Free version is really unintuitive, and you have to pay for support even to get started. I can't prove it, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is deliberate to mainly get paid subscribers. I think eventually I worked out what it is a little bit, and it is actually very simple just like a lot of documents with lists but even then I found much better things to try elsewhere. Why offer a support email contact with your free version when you know you actually aren't going to offer any support!!
