Needs to be calibrated. Actually says to calibrate with a sound meter that can borrowed from your buddy, the sound engineer. "If you know a sound engineer, you can borrow one." That's helpful instructions. I was going to actually spend money on this product, and I'm so happy I checked out the ap first. I'll stick with Dubs.

For the past couple months it hasn't been working properly. No matter how loud my environment is, the app just always says it's cool to stay there for 8+ hrs. Even in a helicopter which is not right whatsoever. Would love to see it working again. I'm on a Pixel 2.

The idea is interesting, but the app seems quite unreliable. I have installed it on 3 calibrated phones (Galaxy S8, Nexus 5 and OnePlus 5) and I always get 3 different results even if I do the recording at exactly the same time (i.e. 60, 56, 48 dBA). The S8/OP5 results are always about 9-14 dB apart, with the Nexus 5 somewhere in the middle. I repeated the tests more than 10 times in different environments.
