Odd. I receive the bin notifications with no issues. I installed the app, added my post code, followed instructions to enable notifications (including the specific instructions on disabling battery optimization), and been fine so far. Hopefully it continues for the foreseeable future.

So far have received 4 notifications for the 4 collections due since reloading the app and making sure I turned off all battery optimizations for the app. Think that could be the problem others are having, not all of us have the knowledge of how to do that so could be confusing for some. Will update If things change.

No reminder info re bin collections. Despite installing app twice, it doesn't send the reminder. Old reminders by text message worked great.

App doesn't always notify when bins are due for collection, have mine set for 8pm the evening before. Worked fine for green & brown last week, but it didn't notify me at all blue bin collection this morning. As others have said, app is rather pointless without the notifications. Would much rather have the text reminders which were consistent week after week!

Possibly the worst app I've used. Certainly one of the worst. It doesn't do what it should, i.e. notify bin collection. It has worked twice for me; on both occasions, after I have complained about the app via email or rating as I am now. It has worked for that week only, then fails on subsequent weeks. East Riding Council, please bring back old-fashioned text (SMS) notifications.
