Highly recommend. You can set your 'watch zones' so it pings you when an alert occurs AND when things change. It reminded me when it was time to put my 'emergency plan' into action and popped up the list of people I had planned to notify of this (including a shortcut to send a message). Also has a button for radio and notifies you if there is a change in warning levels. E.g. If watch and act changed to 'stay inside' due to debris in the area from a damaged roof on a multistory.

Great app for regional WA. I can look ahead to find fire danger rating, in 1–2 days. I have set it to local ABC station, although I'm just about to have a play to see if I can change it to the local ABC station if I'm travelling. I use the watch zones for my family and extended family. The alerts are in 'almost' real time. I have also uploaded my bushfire plan into the app.

Great app but can I suggest: The app keeps resetting to the default layer, I would prefer to be able to select satellite or osm as the default layer. The ABC radio should keep playing in the background, it stops after 30 seconds. Could you implement ADS-B data feed to track DFES air fleet, RFDS and Rescue helicopter? Implement an audio feed to be able to listen to DFES radio comms?

It's great that we have an app like this but living in a farming area with proximity to National Parks the app doesn't seem to allow me to add a National Park, in my case Whither Ridge National Park as a zone to receive alerts about. The app seems to only allow suburbs to be added. Also, the app requires you to know the names of all the suburbs in order to add them to the alert zones. It would be much more practical to have a map of locations inside this app showing the suburbs.

It is not user-friendly: cannot find how to switch off notifications about "incidents" (i.e. car accidents) in my area. Plus: I keep getting warnings about fires from anywhere in the state, despite having set up my warning area. It also doesn't get rid of cancelled warnings. Too much useless info!!!

It may be ok in city & suburbs, but it's largely useless for rural & regional people who don't live in town. The UHF radios are more effective. God help people who are passing through in an emergency I've seen evacuation Rds listed on this app that are no longer Rds or Rds that are 4wd only-many of these Rds aren't even signed it's just local knowledge. Then there's the escape direction info-no compass on app & in thick bush smoke finding North by eye is almost impossible, tourist would be stuck
