If you choose to purchase Emma Plus, Emma Pro or Emma Ultimate, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Subscriptions are managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Apple ID. Why the need for access to either my phone number, Facebook, or email? Can't trial without "signing up", so uninstalled. UPDATE 2026 It's been a while, but Emma is an excellent app! I signed up and have been able to see all my expenses and my "Net worth". Emma also offers savings and investment accounts with good rates.

I have been looking for an app that has rolling budgets, to gamify daily spending - so set this up with a weekly budget in Emma which is working really well! I love that you can attach receipts to transactions; the recurring payments section; and can have certain categories excluded from reports.

Remember to cancel the subscription after the free trial, or they'll charge you almost £90 for a non-refundable subscription to an app that really isn't worth the money.

I felt like the adverts on social media showing Emma showing you how many subscriptions you have are false advertising. To set it up, you have to go through all your bank accounts, PayPal etc., and connect them all, and then after all that - it doesn't show you your subscriptions! Not whilst you're on the one-week free trial - you have to be on the premium version. All the stuff I saw is free on Snoop, so why would I pay? I uninstalled it and checked my subscriptions myself. Clickbait.

This is a sales platform with a secondary budgeting function. Of the 5 buttons along the bottom, only 1 is for your budget, the others are selling you stuff. The budgeting function is OK, but has problems. There are ways to fix the problems, but they're all in a higher tier, and I'm not in the free tier. It deeply annoyingly lets you select functions and set things up, then when you press save comes up with an upgrade screen. It's sort of desperate/needy. I won't be renewing my subscription.
