Edit: after asking twice my trainer showed me how to turn off excess notifications while still getting their communications. App would be great if I could manage notifications. My coach can send me messages, which is good. The overall coach sends system-wide advertisements for their programs every day. These notifications are unacceptable. I need the granularity to turn off the advertisement notifications but still get messages from my coach.

On HyperOS (Xiaomi), the media notification for Run That playlists shows 'not playing' even while audio is actively playing. Because of this, HyperOS kills the app the instant the screen locks. Other apps like SoundCloud show 'playing' correctly and continue fine with the screen off. This looks like a media session / foreground service issue on Android, not a phone settings issue — I've already tried disabling battery restrictions, enabling Autostart nothing works

Just feels very clunky all round. Notifications do not work properly, the rest timer never goes off unless you keep the app open and awake for the whole duration. It's a total pain to use when there is no signal/Wi-Fi. Only use it because it is what my trainer uses. Terrible note implementation. No history of comments linked to exercises so the week after it is like you have never done the exercise before. You need to leave the workout and go into your history to view previous workouts comments.
