I only use the free version and as an Adder this has changed my life. My employer company doesn't use it but likes and therefore accepts the reports and PDFs I generate with it. Deffo would use the oay-for version as a business owner or self-employed. Easy, versatile, fuss-free... thanks!

You get quite a bit in the free version, though some receipts aren't read that well, you can edit them manually. I have not figured out how to scratch beyond the surface yet, and mostly just stockpile my receipt photos in case I get audited, but I've also been able to look back at some of the photos to get information on recent or past purchases. Would love better soldering, organizing, searching & easier retrieval but for free no-spam app, no complaints!

New UI is less intuitive compared to the old one. They've made the app worse for the sake of updating. It's no longer quick to just see expenses, it's too easy to submit the report, and not intuitive whether I am submitting my expense or submitting the whole report. I want to take a picture of an expense, pick a report to assign that expense to, and enter a description. Just like the old app. Now? Good luck. Everything is all white, folderized, and not easy to interact with on a phone.

Awful. If the "Smart scan" feature fails to complete, then it will just automatically delete the entry (and the picture of your receipt) with no way to recover. The only way to get around this is to re-submit your expenses, meaning you have to keep all of your paper receipts anyway. I'm now in a position where I trusted the expensify app, and am I missing 2 receipts for a work trip. I'm now hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Do not use this app.

The new app experience is terrible - creating expenses is harder, it gets stuck a lot, it uses the wrong currency for mileage expenses etc. I flipped back to classic thankfully, and I hope they don't retire that option
