Description
With FAIRTIQ you don’t have to buy a ticket in advance, indicate your destination or struggle to find the right zone. You will always be charged the best available price, once you have completed your journey. It doesn't matter how often you switch directions, or even if you change between trains, buses and trams. With FAIRTIQ there are no hassles, no complications, just smooth and easy travel at fair prices!
How it works
Shortly before boarding a vehicle, such as train, bus, tram or boat, simply swipe the "Start" button in the FAIRTIQ app. Your final destination does not need to be entered. If a conductor requests ticket validation, click the "Show ticket" button and the QR code will automatically be displayed in the app. Once you have arrived at your destination, swipe the "Stop" button in FAIRTIQ. The optimised cost for your trip is then displayed in the app.
Companion mode: With this new function, not only do you get a valid ticket easily and conveniently, but also your fellow companions.

I couldn't be more wrong with this app. I wrote a bad review about their customer support and the problem was that their emails arrived to the spam folder. My bad. My sincere apologies to Heretic and their great service and customer support. When I said: __They advertise "fair" tickets and this is really far away from reality. [...].__ I was totally wrong! They are truly amazing, and the customer support is incredibly responsive and fast.

I've been a heretic fan since almost day 1. The app is super stable and works smoothly. The help desk is very efficient and always helpful. The only downside is the recent removal of Reka as a payment method. This forced me to move to the SBB Easy Ride instead. Please bring Reka back!

Amazing idea & app to use. Primarily for Weimar, Erfurt & surrounding Thuringia region. Very easy to follow, in terms of set-up, and very fair - calculates price from exact location to location: just remember to slide right & then left, respectively!

I used this app while visiting Neuchatel in Switzerland. My family was provided with promotion codes from the Neuchatel tourist bureau for free bus rides. We entered these codes into the FAIRTIQ app and thought all was well, but we (all four of us) have now been charged for all of our bus rides in the city. I contacted FAIRTIQ, and they offered to provide us with future credits, but they refused to reverse the existing charges. Now I will have to file a dispute with my credit card company.

It does NOT combine multiple travels within one day into a single daily ticket: I was charged 205 CHF for two people, two long and one short journeys within the same day, while an unlimited all-Swiss daily ticket costs just 78 CHF (so it must be 156). Very frustrating.

Unusable right now. Does not take into account the half fare. Stops in the middle of a trip leaving you without tickets.
