Fieldwork Recorder

Fieldwork Recorder is an audio diary for recording and organizing audio entries. It can be used for fieldwork, travel, interviews, research, nature observation, meetings, and personal records.
Recordings can use high, medium, low, or custom audio quality. The app can continue recording in the background when the device allows it and shows recording and saving status. On Android, Safe Long Recording stores long sessions in recoverable parts and provides recovery options.
Entries can include a title, tags, formatted notes, photos, and hand-drawn sketches. Notes can be written with the formatting toolbar or in Markdown. Location data can be omitted, limited to start and end positions, or saved as a full GPS track. Entries can be viewed on a calendar, filtered by tag, and grouped in an all-time tag cloud.
The player includes a waveform, seeking, playback-speed controls, and file-size details. GPS-tracked recordings can be shown on a map during playback. Audio can be trimmed, selections removed, clips extracted, or recordings split into separate entries. An edit can replace the original recording or be saved as a copy.
Widgets provide Quick Record, Open Last Entry, and Today’s Recordings. Entries can be exported as an archive. New and changed files can optionally sync with Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box, WebDAV, or iCloud on iOS; deletions synchronize as well.
Fieldwork Recorder stores entries on the device. It does not collect or analyze recordings, notes, photos, drawings, or location data. Data leaves the device only when it is exported or a cloud provider is connected. No Fieldwork Recorder account is required.
