Totally new app, completely upgraded... the new best of breed app for coaching and workout tracking.

Great product but Final Surge the push to Garmin button has disappeared on android since the latest release
★★★★★
I have been using Final Surge for about 2 years and I absolutely love it. It's been great in helping me build structured workouts and add those to a calendar to build my own training plan. I export my workouts to my Yahoo bike computer and Garmin has an app to sync my sports watch directly to my Final Surge calendar. I have found it to be everything I need, without the frustration of some other platforms where every useful feature you try to click on comes up with a "Premium / Paid version only" message. I'm looking forward to future developments, including better Yahoo integration and further development of the Beta platform. Good luck FS team!
★★☆☆☆
Workout distance appear in imperial measurement rather than metric even though I've selected metric. It's a pity since the app is much more convenient than having to consult the website otherwise but not having pace in min/km makes it pretty useless.

This is NOT a child-appropriate app. There are no child-safety features nor parental controls. The invasiveness facilitates targeting children's locations, their photos, their biographical details including birthdate, workout, personal habits, and even the shoes they're wearing. It's a child-trafficker's dream with photographic details and a social media experience.
★★☆☆☆
The Android version of this app is designed by people who do not use it. Do you want to enter your birthdate? Be prepared to scroll through years of monthly calendar pages. Do not slip, or you will have to start over! Do you want to enter your weight? (Separately from your Garmin app since it will not take it off of there.) Start spinning the pound wheel from zero. Want to add a fraction of a pound? Say 145.60? Then you will have to spin the 0.60 part separately, also from zero. I could go on.
★★☆☆☆
Final Surge is a nice looking running log that is probably best suited to coaches and their clients. It has decent workout planning tools. Having said that there are some glitches. Why would a workout I just completed show as "upcoming" instead of completed? As well, I HATE the Planned vs Completed layout. I do not plan my workouts with Final Surge, so I don't want to see it as it complicates the layout and just looks dumb ("0 km planned vs 8 km completed"). For now, I will stick to Garmin Connect.
