Excellent app. The more I use it, the more I like it. It allows you to find the route best suited to your bike or your user profile. Always with me and my bike! Thanks, Grovel team!

Great for when biking in France. Perfect for planning and then downloading gpx to load on to GPS device of choice.
★★★★☆Marty Climenhaga· May 31, 2026
Much better than Google Maps for finding safe cycling routes.
★★★★★Olivier Ulmer· Jun 26, 2026
Fantastic app for commuters and casual cyclists. Great itinerary algorithm (better than bike map, ride with GPS or Strata for my commuting route). GPS turn by turn route guidance available for free. Possibility to import .GPX files. Community challenges. Bicycle parking locations at destination. Great concept!

Same as the previous user's review, the app crashes when using navigation, or sometimes even only opening the map, thus making it useless.
★☆☆☆☆Damien Topin· May 30, 2026
I choose traditional bike, I am touring, but I end up pushing my bike on a 30°+ rocky climb for goats in the middle of nowhere... That's nonsense!. I tried each bike option and all of them offer go through that crazy path which no one should go to. I tried reporting it but each time the app freezes. Great...

The auto-detection of a bicycle trip works rarely ... like 1 or 2 times out of 10 ... very disappointed
★☆☆☆☆Florian Chédemail· Sep 14, 2024
Useless, the app refuses to start an itinerary if the background location permission is not granted. I refuse to grant this permission, even more so to an app which states that "location data may be shared with third parties"

Got the app for the statistics but the only thing I could find is distance and average speed, no elevation data, max speed, speed on a segment of track or anything precise like that.
★★☆☆☆Rupert Lyon· May 20, 2022
Interface and screen layout great. Let down by it stopping recording on a cycle for no reason, doesn't track my route all the time and after finishing a cycle it doesn't record the route. With a bit of development it could be great. Unfortunately there are better cycle apps out there, so I won't continue to use.
