Comments on Freelab XMPP Messenger -Jabber for Android
★★★★★
Excellent Xmpp server I found its the only xmpp client reliably performs well above all clients. I tested it along with dozens of clients with various parameters.I don't understand why people gives negative review when most of the time problem is in their side.
★★★★★
Best xmpp client I've seen so far Much less flaky than other clients I've tried. Syncs conversations from the server, authenticates quickly and notifies me of messages reliably.
★★☆☆☆
Ripoff Another rip off of Conversations with little to no added value that they keep posting under various namespaces. Two stars because at least they mention that they'll give you the source if you ask.
★★☆☆☆
I liked the fuctionality but the app is so heavy on resources. It consumed 11% of battery in less than a day (total consuption for that day was a little over 30%) and it consumed over 20MB of data while NOT BEING USED. The app was on the background and I wasn't using it, I didn't get any messages. How does this happen?
★★☆☆☆
Source code not published Outdated fork of FOSS project Conversations with no meaningful changes. Source code is not publicly available, as is legally required by GPL, and no credit is given to the original project. I love the idea of freely distributing FOSS, but there are ethical ways to do it, and this is not one of them.
