French Horn by Ear

The most important thing in developing your playing is the connection between the music that you hear (be it out there or in your head) and the instrument.

We do have music notation as an intermediary. Yet, much like our usual spoken language, we often don't write down what we speak or hear.

Music is actually pretty much the same thing, in fact even more so, as whole genres are based on real-time improvisation and talking in-between musicians through music and different instruments.

So with French Horn by Ear series, we have divided instrument learning into two parts.

1) First is the instrument itself, getting comfortable with the instrument without the extra mental strain of having to add notation. By progressing levels inside the app your get comfortable with all the notes, scales and all there is so that playing your favourite tunes on the instrument becomes a breeze for you in a matter of DAYS.

2) And second - the notation practice.
For that, check out the companion ‘French Horn Sight Reading’ app which will allow you to get used to playing written music on your saxophone in two weeks’ time, capitalizing on your knowledge of the instrument itself, developed by the previous app, or better yet, utilise the ‘Vocal Sight Reading’ app where you will focus on written notes themselves and practice them separately without setting up the instrument, and by connecting them to your ear through singing them - playing them later on any instrument, let alone the french horn, will become a breeze.

Learn to express yourself with this beautiful instrument in DAYS and WEEKS instead of years, all the 12 scales and notes in-between. With our unique learning method, part of the '...by Ear' series, you will accomplish the level of understanding which is unattainable in years of traditional learning!

This is a very powerful ear training and learning tool for musicians who want a shortcut to fluency on the french horn. With this tool you will be able to play the instrument it is meant to be played by ear, any melody or solo, you will gain a very deep understanding of chords and the notes they consist of and are surrounded by, they tell you all about this in lessons, but you never actually get to ingrain it. The app allows you to practice with just the smartphone or with your real horn, both types. Also serves as a handy french horn notes chart.
