This is my first day trying from FUTO keyboard. I used to use swipe in Gboard and that worked fine for a while. I tried Swift key, but it was not quite accurate, but I was not very comfortable with the privacy issues. So I finally reached in FUTO keyboard. I tried it one year ago and the swipe was not so great but right now it is just amazing and the voice input also very, very good. It is very surprising that a quantized model AI sitting in the mobile can be as good as large LLMs

Good alternative to gboard, it hits all the basics right, following can be improved. 1. why is dynamic theme during day not white? It's like slate. Pls add a new theme to fix this. 2. pls take access to all contacts (optionally) and add words into the prediction dataset. Most of the time I'm teaching it all my contacts names. 3. voice typing needs a major rehaul - accuracy is subpar. Why can't I see the live text during dictation? thankfully there a way to just use Google voice typing.

The voice to text interprets basic words into alien language. And I don't even have an accent that's strong

I downloaded this because swipe text on the native Samsung keyboard had gotten terrible. At first, FUTO was much better, by after a few days, it's even worse than the Samsung keyboard. I don't understand how it can get WORSE with use.

My main beef was data deletion stated in Googles description. I accidently deleted my original post. After 53 days FUTO wanted $11 and some change. Not enough time for a true evaluation. Got buggy when I clicked 'maybe in the next century'. Give AnySoftKeyboard a try and disable all the Google Garbage possible. Including AI, Voice and other distractions that steal your valuable time. You'd be surprised at your focus when you don't use inaccurate voice typing or AI for vague and biased answers.
