FUTO Voice Input

★★★★★ This works better than the default Android voice app for recording audio, and it does not require an internet connection. Additionally, Google stores your voice text forever. This review was created entirely with Futo voice input.

★★★★★ Using this app to write this review. It is far more reliable than the built-in Google Voice input and even puts in punctuation. Not to mention the fact that it works offline and respects your privacy.

★★★★★ Futo is easily the best voice input that I've used (I paid the $10). It gets my intention right the vast majority of the time, so I don't have to go back and correct. I love the fact that it adds the punctuation as well. Probably the only downside is trying to work with open keyboards to make it work. I like the swipe function & it's been hard to find an open keyboard that works well with FUTO & has the swipe function.

★★☆☆☆ I heard about a privacy respecting voice input app, so I was pretty excited to try this out, but I was very disappointed because it doesn't work. Whether I said a single word or a whole sentence it always gets stuck saying "processing" and has never actually loaded despite waiting for several minutes and at that point I might as well ditch the voice input and just type. I came here after seeing Louis Grossman test it out in his YouTube video working flawlessly, but I guess I'm not so lucky.

★★☆☆☆ Works but I need to toggle Futo off/on in my Google settings for default keyboard, otherwise the Futo voice input disappears from the keyboard never to be seen again. It was wonderful until it kept disappearing, but now I can't stand the inconvenience and need to find different software.

★★☆☆☆ Can't download model resources gets stuck below _en_ mark about a quarter of the way, tried 10x,removed battery restriction to see if that's would speed it up, it just won't work updated, no difference, rebooted with only that app opened, no difference. Would have loved the feature of adding specific uncommon words/acronyms to dictionary.
