Fantastic speech to text. I have been using Futo voice input for over a year. I have even changed from Google keyboard to something that supports Futo voice because it is so great. I am writing this review using voice at the moment. It is not perfect. There are a few corrections to be made, but it beats Google's speech to text hands down. I really appreciate that the model is local. It works very fast on my device, which is a pixel 10 without sending any data to the big tech companies.

This works better than the default Android voice app for recording audio, and it does not require an internet connection. Additionally, Google stores your voice text forever. This review was created entirely with Futo voice input.

I can't get the voice input to work with some apps. Like with Gemini, it will show me the microphone, show me that it's listening, the little animation is there, and then nothing. There will be no output.

If an app says pay is voluntary, paying is voluntary, it shouldn't try to guilt you into paying after you download it. I can't afford $11.99 or however much they want for voice input that makes almost as many mistakes as the free ones, so I'm uninstalling it and telling everyone unless you want to be aggravated to pay for it, don't download it. If they think it's worth paying for they should put that up front and let people pay for it when they download it.

It's ok as an accessibility tool but needs improvements, struggles with Irish accent, many times have to edit wrong transcribed words (and even sneezes lol) and talk slowly and articulate carefully. Would love an option for it to be used as a voice assistant that respects privacy to be able to navigate Talk Back with voice without fearing Google is listening in to everything... Having to give up privacy because of disability isn't fun.
