Gauge Logbook

Gauge Logbook is a digital moisture density gauge logbook designed for construction materials testing companies. Track gauge pick-up and drop-off, maintain accurate usage records, and monitor calibrations, certifications, and equipment due dates in one centralized system.
Replace paper gauge logs with a faster and more reliable way to record field activity while keeping organized records for project managers and Radiation Safety Officers.
Built for Construction Materials Testing Companies
Gauge Logbook is designed for companies that use moisture density gauges for soil and compaction testing. The app simplifies the daily logging process while improving record organization and visibility for managers and safety officers.
Instead of maintaining manual paper logs, teams can securely record gauge usage with automatic timestamps and authorized user verification.

Key Features:
Digital Gauge Pickup & Drop-Off
Quickly record when gauges are checked out or returned.
• Automatic date and time stamps
• Record which user checked out each gauge
• Associate gauge activity with specific projects
Authorized User Verification
Only approved personnel can operate the system.
• QR code scanning for fast identification
• Secure 4-digit PIN verification for users
Gauge Usage Records
Maintain detailed records for operational tracking.
• View activity by gauge
• Review records by project
• Track usage history by user
Radiation Safety Officer Notifications
Optional email notifications can be sent to the company’s Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) when gauges are picked up or returned.
Calibration & Certification Tracking
Monitor important due dates such as:
• Gauge calibrations
• Equipment maintenance
• Certifications and licenses
Optional warning emails can be sent 30 days before a due date to help teams stay informed.
Equipment & Document Management
In addition to gauge tracking, companies can manage other operational records.
• Track general equipment
• Store documents related to certifications, inspections, or maintenance
• Monitor document renewal dates
Tablet Kiosk Mode (Recommended Setup)
Gauge Logbook is designed to work well on a dedicated tablet mounted in a gauge storage room.
An optional kiosk mode can pin the app’s main view to the device to help prevent accidental app closures and keep the system ready for quick gauge pick-up and drop-off.
When enabled, the device can automatically activate a screensaver after several minutes of inactivity to help conserve battery while keeping the device available for use.

Operational Dashboard
The main view screen provides a quick overview of key information.
• Gauges currently checked out
• Upcoming due date warnings
• Quick pick-up and drop-off controls
This allows technicians and managers to quickly see current gauge activity and important alerts in one place.

Benefits
