Best Note app and Simple note client for android Coming from Palms and Treos. I needed a good simple note-taking app that has desktop capability. Tried Flick Note, Notational velocity, Jade Note, mNote and Astronomer before settling with Glance Note. It is simple, sync with simple note and works off-line. It does not have auto sync feature, but I can live with it. Search field should be on main screen rather than going through menu. Touch keyboard should come on automatically when you choose find function. Notes does not show up in google search of the phone. (Notes in Flick Note and Notational acceleration showed up in google search.) These are minor annoyances compared to problems with other android simple note clients. If you want a simple note-taking app that works on desktop and can live with above shortcomings, this app is for you.

Best of currently available Coming from WebOS, I was disappointed that there was not a client like Noted! For Android. After trying all the Simple note apps, I settled on Glance Note because it syncs properly and has a light-colored background. I would like to see the sort option made persistent between sessions and greater control over font size. Otherwise, it works well. Update 7/3/2013 Glad to see offline editing implemented - good work. Sort order still not persistent.

Good app with annoying unremovable ads PROS: Stable on my Galaxy S2. Unlike Flick Note, can handle large quantities of notes (1000+). Unlike mNote and AndroNotes, supports tags. Has good search function. CONS: Ads can't be removed even for money (I'd buy), and they are blinking constantly, which is HIGHLY annoying. No offline mode, you can't save a note if you're offline. No URL recognition in notes. No background syncing, sync needs to be started manually. RESUME: Hope very much that the dev will fix these problems - then it will be the best SN client on Android.

Crappy If you edit a note and press back, it throws away you're edits without even warning you. The ideal would be to automatically save, but the base minimum is not to lose your edits. And the font is too big.

Offline saving is a must. Seriously. Two things the note-taking app *have* to do well: offline editing, sync when online; and be reliable: never ever lose user data.

Since the 27th March 2019 update, my copy crashes when I try to sync with Simple note and also on trying to access Setting. Hence, low star rating. Asus ME173X tablet, Android 4.2.2.
