Description
Smart Bookmark is an Android bookmark manager that works independently from browsers like Chrome and Firefox. Can’t find the page you saved? Keep your favorites organized exactly the way you like — with unlimited nested folders, easy sorting, and quick search. Perfect if you use multiple browsers. Because Smart Bookmark manages bookmarks on its own, you can use it with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Dolphin, and many other browsers. Adding bookmarks is easy: Just choose “Add to Bookmark” from your browser’s Share menu. You can also add items manually from within the app. With Backup & Restore, you can move your bookmarks to a new phone anytime.
Main features
- Add bookmarks with one tap from the browser Share menu (works with Chrome and other standard Android browsers) - Unlimited folder hierarchy (folders inside folders) - Reorder items with drag & drop - Choose which browser to open links with (“Open in browser”) - Search bookmarks - Backup & restore - Automatically fetch favicons
How to back up & restore
Backup 1. Open Smart Bookmark 2. Tap the menu (top right) → Settings 3. Tap “Backup” 4. Choose a save location and tap OK A file named “bookmark.json” will be created.
Restore
First, copy “bookmark.json” to the Android device you want to restore to. (Any method is fine: microSD, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.)
1. Open Smart Bookmark 2. Tap the menu (top right) → Settings 3. Tap “Restore from backup” 4. Read the warning and tap OK 5. Select “bookmark.json” and tap OK Restore overwrites existing bookmarks. Please back up first.
Note
Due to Android restrictions, Chrome for Android can no longer read or write its bookmarks. Therefore, import/export to Chrome is not supported.

Love it. I've been using a different book smart app for a while the AI messed up, and now I lost all my bookmarks. But I still have this on my other device and I love it. Keep up the great work

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Clear, simple, a no-brainer to use. .only thing...it doesn't look like you can delete bookmarks you no longer want...is that true? A fix would be welcome. . So, yes they can be deleted...up to five stars! (one more suggestion...when I go into the bookmark app, I have to back out of the last site I visited...sometimes 3 or 4 clicks deep...if each new visit to the app was a fresh start, it would be smoother)

5* star for the concept, but sadly there are big flaws: - Selecting multiple tabs (links) from example Samsung Browser + Share it to this app: it won't be saved. All the app should have to do is to filter out all text lines which do not get www or http starting. So it could save multiple bookmarks with one Share tap. - can't disable the popup after saved a link, annoying.

Downloaded used for a month. Saved over 150 websites into bookmark. Had to switch phones. Downloaded bookmark to new phone. Attempted to restore files.....nothing not one website. All saved bookmarks lost. A waste of time! Thanks

You can drag and drop the URLs to sort them which I like. But that's the only good thing about this app. When entering URLs manually it insists that you type in the HTTP colon slash even though it knows it's missing. But even worse than that when you try to go to a manually entered URL it just says web browser not found. So in fact this app is useless. Well not entirely if you use the built-in URLs those work okay. Still this bug is pretty awful.🦡🦡😾👿😡😠🦡🦡🦡🦡🦡🦡🦡

Could have been good but it starts with bad. No dark theme, outdated UI and no import and export bookmarks feature. Instead, it asks for backup which is in .json file. Who keeps that kind of file format for bookmarks and how will one read it if they want to share with somebody or another device. Links pre saved automatically opens up in chrome despite it not being my default browser. Whenever links open up, it asks for which browser to open but not here. Improve like Raindrop bookmarks service.
