GoodFence

GoodFence is a charming digital lending log that helps you and your neighbors keep track of borrowed household items using a visual bulletin board that looks like a white picket fence. Every loan you record appears as a small wooden sign hanging from the fence rail by a loop of rustic twine, with the item name engraved in a hand-drawn style, the borrower’s name penciled below, and the due date stamped in a tiny red circle. The Dashboard tab welcomes you with three oversized wooden post-cap counters showing Active, Overdue, and Returned This Week loans at a glance, while the three most recent loans hang below as wooden reminders. A bright metal cup hook button on the dashboard lets you add a new loan instantly. Over in the Loans tab, you can scroll through your complete lending history, tap any sign to edit its details, or swipe it away when an item is safely returned. The Search tab offers a simple text field that filters your list right as you type, so you can quickly find loans by item name or borrower. When it’s time to record a new loan, the New Loan form makes it easy to enter the item name, your neighbor’s name, the lend date, and an optional return due date. All of this information is stored securely and privately on your device, with no internet connection required and no accounts to create. Because GoodFence works entirely offline, your lending circle’s data stays right where it belongs—in your hands and among trusted neighbors. The interface is designed with large touch targets, gentle high-contrast colors, and soft shadows that make every label easy to read, even outdoors. The bottom tab bar uses four pastel fence pickets that feel playful yet intuitive, so you can move between Dashboard, Loans, New Loan, and Search without confusion. Whether you’re sharing tools, kitchen gadgets, or board games, GoodFence turns everyday borrowing into a friendly, organized ritual. No more forgetting who has your drill or when your ladder is due back—just a clear, visual record pinned to your fence. For neighborhood tool-sharing rings, little free libraries, or mutual aid groups, this simple log strengthens trust and keeps community lending smooth. GoodFence brings the warmth of a handwritten note and the reliability of a well-kept list together in one pocket-sized view.
