Heyama: African Singles Dating

Heyama is the 100% African dating app, free to download, for singles in Africa and across the diaspora. From Douala to Paris, from Abidjan to Montreal, from Yaoundé to Brussels, meet someone who shares your roots, for a serious relationship, marriage or a real friendship.

SAY WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
Your profile shows your intention: Wedding, Friends, Fun… Everyone knows where they stand, and you can filter profiles by intention.

LIVE BLIND DATES
Sign up for an event, like "Thursday night: singles 25-35". On the day, you chat one-on-one for 5 minutes with no photos, then you both vote. Two yeses make a match. Speed dating, from your couch.

THE ESSENTIALS ARE FREE
Creating your profile, liking, matching and chatting after a match are free. Got a DM? Replying is always free.

MAKE THE FIRST MOVE
Like someone? Send them a DM before you even match, and add a gift to stand out. They earn coins when they reply.

CERTIFIED PROFILES
Every photo is checked automatically, then by our team. Certify your profile with a selfie to get the "Certified profile" badge. Phone numbers and email addresses are refused in DMs and bios.

YOUR PRIVACY FIRST
Screenshots are blocked across the whole app by default. With Incognito mode, only the people you liked or sent a DM can see you. You can block a profile at any time and, once you're certified, report it to our moderation team, who review every report.

NO SUBSCRIPTION
Coins, Boost and Incognito are one-off purchases with no auto-renewal.
