Description
Historic Houses members enjoy hundreds of offers of free entry to independent historic house, castle, and garden attractions across the UK when they show their membership card.
At most participating attractions, you can display your membership digitally using our app, if you don’t have your physical card. Cards remain non-transferable and must only be used by the named member.
You can also browse attractions – both those that offer free entry to members and those that charge everyone – on a zoomable map and by proximity to your location.
Remember that all the attractions we list, including those that participate in our member-access scheme, are independently owned and run, and their own terms and conditions apply. We advise visitors to contact any property they wish to visit, directly, in advance of setting out, to check if the attraction is open, if it is admitting Historic Houses members for free, and if it accepts cards in digital form.

L downloaded the app for the first time as a recent email said that they'd revamped it. Previously the ratings implied that it wasn't worth having. So far it appears quite usable. The default view lists houses close to my location, plus there are options to search via map or house name. Clicking on a house takes you to the relevant Historic Houses website page. The digital card function works well, although it's still only possible to have a single individual in the app.

Excellent reference. Very useful to find houses to visit when out and about and don't have the handbook to hand. Perfect companion for Historic Houses members, but just as useful all the same even if you are not. Only one gripe: the back button on the phone does not work within the app nor to exit it - please could this be fixed.

A pointless app. This only shows membership card data, but it warns to bring the physical card anyway. All the property data has gone, thus totally useless. I'll uninstall and just not bother renewing the membership.

What a useless update. App has lost all its functionality of looking up Historic Houses to visit. An electronic version of the card could have been created for inclusion in Google Wallet without destroying the original app. Will delete the app as it is now useless and will have to consider whether to renew which is so disappointing. Really bad idea and one that should be reversed ☹️
