Installed homematic ip some 3 years ago. Two results. 1. i don't have hot spots or cold spots now. Each room has its own thermostat and timer profile. The thermostat is built into the radiator control valve. 2. in the first year before the covid and gas prices went through the roof, I saved £200 on my gas bill. So this would have meant that at those prices it was a 5-year payback. Obviously, with prices being much higher the payback is probably 3 years.

Amazing product. However, I give only 4 stars as there were some features requested by someone else in 2018, and they are still missing. Please implement the status of the thermostat in percent, how much is opened, please consider holiday mode during cooling period also (change-over system).

Do not buy! At first, it never worked well - very unstable connection to Access Point. AP never seems to recover once connection was interrupted. My other smart home solutions all work well. I got a new access point, and then it worked kind of ok, but then out of the blue, the shutter levels were not correct anymore. You would set 50% in the app and the shutter goes to 10%. I have solutions from 3 vendors and all have their little issues, but Homematic is the worst.

Design by engineers who do not use it. No way to monitor remaining boost time. No way to do most basic operation : temp day and temp night. Last year I have programmed complex schedules for different rooms. Now everything is deleted! UNACCEPTABLE! Security designed by dummies. I am in my own house reinstalled app scanned my 20 digit QR code and not admin and nothing shows you that you are not admin!!! How to corrupt a system with dmmy !
