HomeSafe View: Live Swann DVR viewing on your Android phone HomeSafe View supports the following features: Multi-channel viewing with up to 16 cameras on screen at the same time (16ch view works best on tablets) Play back stored recordings from your DVR on your handset or tablet (requires high upload speed internet) Capture video from your camera live view to your Phone to play back later Capture single and multi still images and save these to your Phone's picture library Control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras remotely
Note: Current model handsets and tablets are recommended for high resolution playback and live viewing more than 8 cameras at once.
Currently supported DVR models (x will be 4, 8 or 16 channel depending on your model): DVRx-1590 DVRx-1600 DVRx-4480 DVRx-4575 DVKx-4580 DVKx-4590 DVRx-4780 DVRx-4980 DVRx-5580 NVRx-7450 NVRx-8580 Other Swann DVR models will not work with this app.
Note: This app uses a data stream that will connect to your Swann DVR via 3G/4G or WiFi. When using 3G/4G, the video from your DVR will likely be considered "downloads" by your phone service provider and will contribute to any download limit your phone data plan may have. If you exceed any plan limits you may incur additional usage charges. Consult with your mobile service provider regarding the use of a video streaming app and how it may affect your plan.

It does what I thought it would do, ive had it roughly 8 to 10 years with literally no problems. Why is didn't give it 5 stars it would have to function very well and be free to get 5 stars and swan has met one of the two.

Works great. My cameras are several years old as is my NVR. I can also display these cameras on my Harbor Freight NVR at the same time. I put a 8tb drive in the NVR and search is fast.

The situation improved significantly when I upgraded to a DVR8, (even though I only use Three channels) Ethernet cable from New Router supported by T. P Link sorted connection to Laptop and PC. due to distance from Router. Hence, my upgrade of Stars.

App is very unreliable. It only opens on occasion and shuts down in the middle of viewing. Good thing the app is free. I definitely wouldn't pay for it.

I have had this app disabled for two years since moving to my new home. Haven't used it since then. Noticed today that the app has been accessing my camera and microphone several times. Recommend to either uninstalling this spy app or limiting permissions. Terrible for a security app to be used to spy on its own users.

Have 3 cameras that stopped working out of nowhere. I've tried getting ahold of customer service for help since we paid for the best plan-, but come to find out. The only live help is the australia office, which I spoke to for 30 min. While this guy took all my camera information, and then literally hung up on me. To top it off I received my cell ph bill today- I'm being charged 100 dollars for the Australia call. Not to mention the cameras STILL don't work. Really? Thanks for nothing.
