IDMe Authenticator is a simple and free Two Factor Authentication (2FA) solution for your IDMe account. It keeps your online accounts secure on websites that support 2FA. This app generates 6-digit Time-Based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) and PUSH notification based one-touch authentication.
IDMe Authenticator as a TOTP Code Generator: Signing into your account requires your username, password and a verification code that you can generate using this app. Once configured, you can get verification codes without the need for a network or cellular connection when this app is used as a TOTP code generator. You can enroll and connect IDMe Authenticator to your account for 2FA by scanning the QR code at setup time.
IDMe Authenticator for PUSH based authentication: You enter your username and password when signing into your account, then approve the push notification sent to your phone. You will need to enroll and connect IDMe Authenticator to your IDMe account to enable this feature.

App works well I just continue in the endless circle of being UNABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT after jumping through the repetitious hoops called for by the process. No progress.

Makes identification verification way easier, so you don't have to constantly use actual identifying information on multiple sites. Here you use info to prove and their security tells other sites yes you've proven identification without having to show your information. It's less risky.

This is the worst app ever, it doesn't show up anywhere on my phone, I have to search in the play store, then I can open it from there. Then, once I do get it open, the ONLY site I use it for, says the security code is not right. This is soooo frustrating! Not to mention, when you re-authenticate yourself, on your phone it says successful, yet it doesn't reflect anywhere, you're still stuck in a loop hellscape.

It's a great paper weight for my phone apps ...... not only have I been trying for a year now, I have all the problems' people listed below, nothing recognizes the authenticator, I try the website and go in circles, I'm told to redo the license photos, video selfie, address, name, phone number and each time when I get to the end and everything was accepted, I get an error and you to redo it all over again, now they want to do a video call.... no, thanks, people don't have time to sit and chat

NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED!!!! US GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED FOR USING THIS GARBAGE!!! There's gotta be some cronyism or kickbacks going on for them to actually use something that does not work. Can't do my back taxes. So many people are going to give up and just get in more trouble with the r s because of this app.
