Description
The indyreads™ app provides New South Wales Public Library members with free access to a large collection of eBook & Audiobook titles. The app lets you read and listen to eBook and Audio titles on your smartphone or tablet, browse the collection, borrow items and place them on hold, download and return titles, as well as make notes, place bookmarks and more. The collection includes Australian independent published content, a selection of quality self-published material, titles in languages other than English as well as reference, modern literary, classic fiction and non-fiction titles. Locally important digitised material from the local studies collections of participating NSW public libraries is also available. To access and loan titles you will need: • A valid library card & PIN number (it's quick and easy to join your local NSW public library) • Internet access To parents & legal guardians: we do not censor, remove or restrict titles that some customers may find offensive, and we do not label materials to indicate their content or coverage.

Great range of titles, but very glitchy. The audio frequently stops, or you have to log in again, or it just stops for days.

Quite often have to put info in again to open app which means searching for library card number. Great selection of books.

Works as described. Good response from support. Also, would be good if the app itself had a dark mode. I can set the background to dark for reading, but still have to go through the bright white menu first.

It's good, but the series doesn't always have the last book in the series. Disappointing

This is such a disappointing app experience. The library on offer is great, but the user experience is impossible to enjoy any title. Audiobooks constantly malfunction and just don't work. On the occasional time a book does load, just stops working / running. E-books aren't much better. Please fix the bugs - we are all missing out!!!

Drops out randomly while mid-audiobook and have to restart the app. Doesn't give total length of audiobooks, only chapter lengths.

Awful App and no support. Books don't load properly. Books on hold - App says 'pending' with wait of 0 days, but you can't access it. Borrow an audiobook and finish for the day. When you go back to continue, the book doesn't show where you are up to. Have to go in and out of the app up to 7 or 8 times for it to load. It is terrible. I uninstalled and re-installed- no diff. No support from Indy reads.
