Ink Craft

A little typewriter for your notes and letters. Ink Craft brings paper and ink to your phone: textured paper, imperfect ink that bites like real type, and mechanical typing sounds. A capsule follows your words along the platen, a bell rings near the margin and the sheet rolls up as you write. Calm, offline and private.

A REAL TYPEWRITER FEEL
• Mechanical typewriter sounds: crisp key strikes, the margin bell and a soft carriage return
• Imperfect ink: every letter lands a little uneven, like real type on paper
• A capsule that follows your words, or a classic desk typewriter whose typebar swings up and strikes
• The paper curls over the platen while you type and lies flat when you read
• Roll the paper and push the carriage to any letter to add or fix words
• Backspace erases cleanly, or keep your mistakes as typed XXX

NIGHT WRITING
• A carriage lamp for writing in the dark, with brightness, warmth, spread and reach
• Hold the machine to switch the lamp on or off

TEXTURED PAPER AND INK
• Six paper colours and four paper stocks: Original, Cotton, Laid and Recycled
• Worn, fresh or clean ribbons in black, blue, brown or red, with ink strength
• Crafts of the World capsules: porcelain, jade, lacquer, zellige, azulejo tiles, Día de Muertos tin hearts and more, each with its story
• Rail finishes, rail ends and a surprise machine
• Key sounds, bell, volume and haptics, all adjustable
• A pressed-flower bookmark for every note

YOUR NOTES, KEPT
• Every sheet is kept in your Box, newest first, in monthly groups
• Share any note or letter as a typed PDF
• Start a fresh sheet of paper any time, up to 3,000 characters per sheet

CALM AND PRIVATE
• Your notes stay on your phone. No account, nothing you type is uploaded
• Works offline
• Every machine, paper and capsule is free. Remove ads once, or watch a short video for an hour without ads
