I've just downloaded JRiver after many years because Amazon's music app has become a gateway to sell their streaming service and the former useful interface is just a pale shadow of itself. JRiver found the music files on my phone easily and displayed what was there in a nice intuitive fashion--much clearer than on Amazon and Google's apps and no advertising--worth 10 bucks to me. The sound quality is very good. I am still trying puzzle out playlists which are not as obvious as its music display. I'll rank the player 4 stars for now and expect to upgrade it as I master it a bit more.

It looks like several updates and improvements have been made to this app, since I last used it, so I'm going to try it as my main Android music app. In addition to my personal Playlists and music I have on my Android cell phone, it includes JRiver's Cloud play, which obviously no other Android music players have. And Cloud play in Android has my Favorite Cloud play playlists, that I already had set with JRiver's desktop computer software.

Won't load, couldn't load library on SD card, cost way too high for an app that does not work. Disappointed as I use the JRiver on my computer.

JRiver makes a great product in their Media Center app for the PC. One would expect that their companion android player would work seamlessly with Media Center. Unfortunately, it barely works at all, and if you can manage to navigate all the glitches, bugs, anomalies, and settings, it doesn't do anything more than whatever app you probably already have installed. I wasted a lot of time before giving up and simply using another player. Still using JRiver Media Center and highly recommend it.

I have the desktop software and like it but sadly this app is not good. I actually went back to a free one because it just doesn't work well or consistently. Can't even display "songs" without first selecting a different category. I'm super cheap when it comes to paying for apps and took a chance on this one based on the primary software, but alas wasn't a good gamble. I'd hold off until further development has happened
