Kadoz

Kadoz connects neighbours who are giving things away with neighbours
who are looking for them. Everything is free, and will stay free.

A chest of drawers gathering dust, a bike that has become too small,
spare bowls after a move. These things still work, but they often end
up at the recycling centre simply because nobody knows who to give
them to.

HOW IT WORKS

You photograph the item, Kadoz recognises what it is and estimates its
volume. Your listing is online within seconds.

Someone nearby sees it and writes to you. You accept, you agree on a
time by message, and you share your address when you decide to.

At the handover, a four-digit code confirms the exchange. That is all.

YOUR ADDRESS IS YOURS

On the map, your item appears about 150 metres from where it really
is. Nobody knows where you live until you have decided — accepting a
request opens the conversation, nothing more.

The metadata in your photos, GPS coordinates included, is stripped
before upload.

WHAT IT CHANGES

Every item given away is an item that does not end up in a skip. Kadoz
measures those diverted volumes, municipality by municipality.

In French, Dutch and English, with a simplified mode that enlarges
text and buttons.

Kadoz is published by GM Concept SRL, in Brussels. A free service,
with no advertising and no data resold.

The app, the listings and the legal documents are now available in English, alongside French and Dutch. Listings are translated from one language into another: the cupboard you no longer want may well interest the neighbour who doesn't speak yours.
