I've been using the app for three years and seven months. I schedule charging to start and finish according to the cheap night rates, and it has always functioned perfectly. The Andersen2 is located 40 meters from the router, so I use a power line extender. If the internet connectivity drops, I get a phone notification, and the Andersen2 powers on, but it resumes the schedule once the connection is restored. Good connectivity and phone set up are critical to the system working correctly.

The app is all you need for charging an ev. Linked to my Andersen charger I can switch the charger on and off remotely, schedule switching on and off to tie in with cheap rates, plug in my electricity rates so the charger can graphically provide electricity usage and cost. I am totally happy with it.

Buggy software. The app keeps forgetting the charge schedule despite re-entering multiple times.

This app is slow, full of bugs, regularly forgets my charging schedules and sometimes will constantly show loading screens. Regretting ever getting such an expensive charger if the app makes it basically unusable!

Disappointed the app takes an age to load data and constantly discount with service offline. I think someone is running the backend service off someone's laptop it's poor. Schedule is not reliable as it must use servers to control it, one night (out of few) it lost connection, so I missed my off-peak charges and cost me a fortune in the day and did not have a charged car for work. Whoever Anderson contract for this service they need a new supplier!!

Don't buy an Andersen A2. The only way to control it is via this app, which doesn't work most of the time, and seems to get worse with each update. Very far from the premium product I was sold.
