I've been using the app for three years and seven months. I schedule charging to start and finish according to the cheap night rates, and it has always functioned perfectly. The Andersen2 is located 40 meters from the router, so I use a power line extender. If the internet connectivity drops, I get a phone notification, and the Andersen2 powers on, but it resumes the schedule once the connection is restored. Good connectivity and phone set up are critical to the system working correctly.

The app is all you need for charging an ev. Linked to my Andersen charger I can switch the charger on and off remotely, schedule switching on and off to tie in with cheap rates, plug in my electricity rates so the charger can graphically provide electricity usage and cost. I am totally happy with it.

My schedule keeps getting deleted, I don't notice this for a while and therefore get charged the day rate for charging my car instead of the off-peak rate. Very annoying.
★★☆☆☆David Toole· Aug 7, 2022
Nice looking charger but app is unreliable and buggy. App offers basic timed charging and historical usage data but periodically logs you out and doesn't let you log back in - effectively preventing you from changing timers. Recently, it seems unable to load historical usage data and is unable to switch from day to month/year view. Sadly, difficult to recommend Andersen based on my experience given the importance of the app to the charging experience.
★☆☆☆☆Stephen Flexer· Sep 19, 2022
This app is slow, full of bugs, regularly forgets my charging schedules and sometimes will constantly show loading screens. Regretting ever getting such an expensive charger if the app makes it basically unusable!
★☆☆☆☆Oliver· Aug 27, 2026
Not sure when this happened but as of today the app is not functional. The screen just hangs and doesn't load and when it does eventually load after several minutes, it doesn't let you charge the car.
