Update Now allows multiple prices to match the tariff at the time of charging. OCPP control allows the power provider (Octopus) to control the charger and charge cheaper rate at additional times too, a very useful for cars that cannot be controlled remotely by the power suppliers. For such a small charger, this app makes a great use of its capabilities.

Good app, a few bugs: Often schedule advanced controls (rate limit, charging limits) don't appear unless app is force closed and re-opened. Recent sessions appear stuck or isn't clear on how to view them. As I change the date, the graph changes but the recent sessions remains stuck on July 2024.

Cable very short, and I have to fight to get the charger cable of the silly holder .fairly reliable have to rest every 3 months or so .easy to use.

Charger itself does the job well. With plenty of charging done with solar for free. The control app is terribly slow to use. Sometime fails to connect to the phone. Why not put buttons on the charger. 1 for solar only charge another for solar and grid charge. Would save so much messing around. I left my phone at a friend's house only realized when I got home couldn't charge the car to go get it.

Every time there is a software update, it wipes out the schedules so when you plug the car in, it starts to charge up immediately during the expensive tariff. Also, for the second time since I own the charger, there is an error for the update which means I can't set the schedule... I will need to call the wall box support to try to fix it, all really annoying!

Very bad until I found out why. It's a hardware issue with the chargers Wi-Fi, It's very, very poor and needs a strong nearby signal to be reliable. Use the closest 13amp point to fit a Wi-Fi extender, or an old mobile to connect with Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth that is placed close enough to the charger. Should solve the connection issues. Update Dec 2025: Wall box unit communications failed completely, soon after the above was posted. No signs of life from Wi-Fi or BT. Whole Wall box experience a disaster.
