ChargerSync is a reliable and convenient tool for EV drivers to control and customize their charging sessions, so that charging your EV becomes a seamless experience.
Designed to operate exclusively with the Terra AC charging solutions, ChargerSync provides an extended set of digital features designed to make charging simple and efficient regardless of your level of experience as EV driver.
The ChargerSync app works with Terra AC charging solutions via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G and Ethernet connectivity. You simply configure the charger to the communication interface you want to use.
Main features include: • ChargerSync Account - Conveniently view and manage one or multiple Terra wallboxes with a single account. Easily sign up and setup your account via the ChargerSync app. • Authentication - Use ChargerSync to start and stop your charging session with just one tap. Manage and authorize RFID cards to be used with your Terra AC charging solution. • Charging - View real-time charging status, like the charging power, and if configured, the cost of your current charging session. Use the schedule feature to define a charging schedule that starts and stops your charging sessions automatically. • Statistics and Costs – Set different prices for electricity depending on the time of day, allowing the app to share detailed information on charging costs at home. ChargerSync also provides a quick way to see all charging sessions performed via your charger. • Safety - Balance the charging power of your Terra wallbox to leave enough headroom for the rest of your electrical appliances at home.
New features to the ChargerSync update include: • Reimbursement reports – Retrieve and easily export company car charge sessions with company car tagging. • Charger sharing - Set free vending schedules to share your charger with family, friends or visitors without using an app or RFID card. • Notifications – Receive notifications as soon as wallbox updates, such as the latest firmware upgrade, become available. • Remote control – After configuring the charger, EV drivers can start/stop their charging session and access their charging information from anywhere with an internet connection via Terra AC charging solution. • Global support – ChargerSync offers support for over 25 languages and 100 currencies. * ChargeDot recommends using the ChargerSync Web Portal for commercial operation and sites with multiple chargers.

A much better app than the previous version. However, the cost calculation is still incorrect. It seems to be calculated on the total number of hours connected which is not necessarily the same as the charging time. For example, I have two energy plans. One from 8pm to 4am for off-peak and another from 4am to 8pm for peak hours. I plug my car in at 7pm and start charging at 8pm. The charge finishes at 3am. I unplug the car at 8am. The cost calculation is not only on the off-peak hours.

It provides most of what you need. I just wish we had a better way to select specific values to show (for past data) instead of past 7 days / previous month... My preference would be the option for past 30 days and 60 days...

App version 2.0.5 keeps dropping the Bluetooth connection with firmware version 1.6.6 of Terra AC. Legacy app keeps on working just fine.

Doesn't work well with smaller displays such as 4.6". It just doesn't scale and therefore unable to use some functions in the app. Time of use price settings too restricted. We have 4 tariff levels throughout the day. Low tariff midnight to 06. Mid-tariff 06 to 17. High tariff 17 to 21 and mid-tariff 21 to 24. Painfully slow firmware updates. As in 15+ min each. Also wants them incrementally, which makes it even more of a pain when needing 5 like I did standing out in freezing temperatures.

This app is perfect to example on how to make things worse. Previous Charge sync app allowed setting charging schedules while car plugged in, while this does not allow that anymore. It actually takes away features your charger had before. You now have to stand beside your car to control charging. All scheduling settings are hidden deep in menus so scheduling is major pain. Avoid ABB chargers at all cost as it's now an expensive wall decoration instead of remote controllable charging unit.

Since version 2.0.5 does not connect to ABB Terra AC charger (firmware v1.6.9) via Bluetooth. Have to use Charger sync Legacy instead.
