Description
Lanka Remit Mobile Application is for the Sri Lankan people who are employed overseas and beneficiaries of such overseas employees and any of the freelancers, consultants who provide services for the overseas companies and will be able to easily use the remittance service on their own with the trust of having endorsed by the Sri Lanka Government for this app.
Using the Lanka Remit mobile app, the users will be facilitated to conveniently get in touch with remittance information and other related services provided by the Sri Lankan Government and other Local Remittances Service Providers. The remitters will also be able to navigate to the particular remittance service provider’s digital platform and make remittances there.
Moreover, both the Remitter and the Beneficiary will also be able to track the status of transactions directly by having the app on their mobile phone.
The Lanka Remit mobile app contains the following features: > Registering with the app > Track Remittance by entering the reference number > Information/ locations of exchange houses and their branches > View best rates of the Exchange houses by entering the amount and selecting the preferred currency > Navigate to the remittance service provider’s digital platform > User Profile > Contact Us page

Fantastic application for the Sri Lankan foreign workers. No need to waste our valuable time in remittance services anymore. Just add atm card to the app. And send money directly to the Sri Lankan savings account. Really appreciate app. Development team for your service. Only thing, please try to improve exchange rate and add NRFC account instead of savings account.

This is a brilliant idea, but the biggest flaw is that the exchange rate is lower than the official rate, so this app becomes useless. If CBSL provides a better rate than all banks for migrant remittances, this pilot project will be a success one.
Installed and tried to register, but the OTP was not received either to email or phone. Even resend does not work. Horrible app, as most SL gov services. I doubt is this SL gov sponsored scam😅

Not working. Registration get failed itself. Poor application. Most gov apps are same like this.
