As with some others here, mine worked flawlessly, turned on my ThinkPad with the app recording, it picked up the code, told me it was RAM (it was a used motherboard, and I hadn't bothered to check if RAM was in it), installed said RAM and problem fixed... still not sure what was wrong with the morse code beeps of the olden days but hey, I guess there's more flexibility with being able to beep out a fully numeric code.

Loaded the app, chose ThinkPad, Turned on my ThinkPad, it made the error tones, the app gave me a code (010288). Closed the app. Done. Would give 5 stars if there was a corresponding list of codes anywhere on lenovo support site. Even their forums have folks asking about this code, with no answers from lenovo reps. So the app functions and displays a number, at least. BTW: reddit says it's a display device error.

Doesn't properly pick up the code beeps (which is a stupid thing to need an app for anyway) to give you a code, and when it does, it give codes that aren't valid.

Does it work for anyone? Because it doesn't work for me. Didn't even detect there was a sound to begin with. Should have just sing out numbers on the laptop, it'll be easier to search in the app

This app appears to do nothing. It can't detect beep codes, that's for sure. In the end I gave my laptop a couple smart raps on my desk and that got it going again.
