★★★★★ I downloaded this to help a friend with their project. It took ages for me to identify the butterflies through an incoherent database on the Internet. With Leps by Fieldguide, you can find exactly what you need—in just a few minutes. This is a valuable app to entomologists, insect enthusiasts, and those who look forward to expanding their knowledge.

★★★★★ This app is awesome - a great way to involve anyone who's interested in butterfly and moth identification. It's extremely easy to use - just take a picture of any lep seen outside on a hike, in your backyard, etc, and the recognition tool will identify the species for you. It's a great tool to help increase lepidoptera abundance/diversity records for regions worldwide! A perfect method to promote citizen science.

★★☆☆☆ What a poor app! Impossible to register with the e-mail option. App even cannot guide you properly during registration process, just kicks out or giving an error message. Tried on both iPhone and Android to register- same problem, app is not able to register a new user.

★★☆☆☆ when it does ID, it is amazing. However, every time I try to add a 2nd photo, the app closes. I cannot figure out how to delete a photo. I have many photos that I have done great crops on, but the app will not let me select those shots. Those shots are blacked out. Great potential, but some major flaws. Yes, I have sent emails via the app.

★★☆☆☆ Claims to identify moths around the world, but in practice it seems to be North America centric. At any rate, completely failed on 3 common UK/European species, offering only species not found in the UK. Total waste of time. If you are going to offer an app that claims world coverage then the least you could do is filter your results based on the submitter's location, otherwise you are just wasting people's time.
