Retirees need insurance, to The insurance calculator is good for pre-retirement. It takes some rethinking in order to use it for someone getting social security or a pension and the reductions that occur at the death of the first spouse. So a nice revision would be one which puts an element of distinction on spouse income needs that could identify pension and social security and their possible reductions. A big need for retired survivors is replacing the 'gap' caused by the reductions. I use the explanation that "Young people use 'two can live as cheaply as one'" to excuse their marriage or living together. I explain the need for gap life insurance with "One lives as expensively as two."

Didn't work on my Note2 The response lines weren't lined up correctly with the questions. I have to scroll down to read the question & up again to plug in the answer. After completing that struggle & I click next, my input was erased. Yikes! Pointless exercise that was. The calc on the site worked efficiently though, so the 1 star for me is on my experience with the Android app.

Great tool It is a great tool, but unfortunately I couldn't get out or go back to the home page of the app. I repeatedly tried and finally uninstalled.
