Lingomotive is a vocabulary trainer for the words you meet in real life. Point your camera at a sign, menu, or page. Dictate a sentence you half understood. Lingomotive picks out the parts you didn't catch, adds them to your vocabulary fully translated, and schedules every review for you.

Lingomotive's smart engine is built on decades of cognitive science: spaced repetition and active recall. Every item is scheduled across five review intervals. Correct answers move it deeper. Misses pull it back. Over weeks, the algorithm lifts the review load off your mind and onto the schedule.
WHY SCIENCE BASED LEARNING WORKS
• The spacing effect. Information reviewed at expanding intervals is retained far longer than information crammed in one sitting. • The testing effect. Active recall strengthens memory more than rereading or passive recognition. Every prompt is a recall test, not a passive flip.

HOW THE SMART ENGINE WORKS
• Every new entry starts in Box 1, due today. • Answer correctly, the entry moves up one box. Intervals stretch from one day to three days to one week to thirty days. • Answer incorrectly, the entry falls back to Box 1. • An entry is marked Learned only after two consecutive successful Box 5 reviews in each direction.
You see every entry's box at a glance. No opaque difficulty score.
ADAPTIVE DAILY PACING
Cramming kills retention. Lingomotive sets an automatic daily ceiling on new entries. The ceiling grows when accuracy is strong and shrinks when words slip, so Box 1 never becomes a graveyard.
TWO DIRECTION PRACTICE
Recognising a word is not the same as producing it. Lingomotive tracks both directions independently.
• Target to Native. See the foreign word, recall the translation. • Native to Target. See your language, recall the foreign word.
An entry is not Learned until both directions are mastered. That closes the "I understood it when I read it but I could not say it" gap.
