This FREE, 45-minute Love Decoded - Introductory App and the 21-week love course, Love Decoded - Public, are two entirely different Apps. While the Public app is a 21-week course that focuses on teaching you to love yourself and love others methodically, day to day, the Introductory App is only 45-minute long, and helps you gain clarity about your relationship with yourself and others in your life. Important not to expect both to function similarly. One is done in an hour the other takes 21-weeks. Pick the Introductory App up and put it down again and again. Take a day or a month to complete it. People enjoy it and have told us they go through it several times a week. While they complement each other, one gets you ready to know yourself and what you want from relationships, as a precursor for the Love Decoded App - Public, all science-based, that requires patience and commitment. The Love Decoded – Public course asks a lot more of you, teaches you about your lovable qualities, how to communicate, how to change the channel on your self-talk, how to envision the future, and how to create your unconditional community.
The Public course teaches about love, the real love we got from our mothers. Although 21 weeks, it’s only 5 minutes a day, spread out over 4 mini-interactions, mini-reflections. That is the only way our behaviors and reactions change permanently. You don’t want to be happy for a day, or a week, or a month and then lose it. The Introductory App begins our exploration of our relationship with ourselves and others. What is it we like about ourselves? What do we want from a relationship? We struggle when asked about what our lovable qualities are, or what qualities we want in others. The reason? No one ever asked us what we like about ourselves or what we really want in relationships.
If we don’t know what we want in a relationship, we don’t have a list of qualities, we wind up losing our way. Having someone be attractive, funny, with a great career, etc. is far from enough.
It take time for our neuropathways to reorganize and change our habits of acting and reacting. We have to be patient with ourselves as the Public App take us slowly, step by step. Understanding what you heard is very different from applying it to daily life. We also tend to be very impatient with ourselves. Reading a book on Tennis or playing tennis without practicing? Everything in life, especially something as important as our relationship with ourselves and others, is worth putting the time in.
