Description

LunaCam is a personal security camera for recording important photos and videos with strong encryption, private viewing, and reliable background recording.

Designed for moments that matter, LunaCam helps you keep user-started recordings running even when you switch away from the app, subject to Android device, battery, permission, and notification settings. Recording status and controls remain clear, so you stay in control from start to finish.

Unlike a normal camera app, LunaCam focuses on what happens after capture: how your files are stored, viewed, played, backed up, and protected.

Strong file protection:
LunaCam protects recorded files with encryption. Videos use separate AES-256 file keys, and protected photos are saved as encrypted `.jpg.enc` files. Encrypted photos can be opened with Safe View inside the app without creating plain JPG copies in storage. Encrypted videos can be checked with Safe Playback without exposing them through a normal gallery workflow.

Private by design:
Your encryption key and password are essential. If both are lost, protected files may be impossible to recover. LunaCam provides key backup tools, password strength guidance, and recovery options to help you manage long-term access responsibly.

Reliable background recording:
LunaCam supports background recording for user-started sessions, with foreground service notification behavior according to Android policy. You can record with preview, pause and resume, use flash and focus controls, and capture encrypted photo snapshots during video recording.

Security tools:
LunaCam includes secure file tools for encrypting existing files, decrypting protected files when needed, renaming, exporting, sharing, converting TS to MP4, merging TS files, and secure delete options.

Optional encrypted relay backup:
When enabled by the user, LunaCam can upload encrypted recording segments and encrypted key backup data to help improve recovery options if a device is lost, damaged, or deleted. Your password is not uploaded.

LunaCam is intended for lawful self-protection, private record keeping, and sensitive file protection. Users are responsible for following all applicable laws, workplace rules, and consent requirements for recording, audio capture, sharing, and uploading in their country or region.

Performance may vary by Android version, manufacturer battery policy, camera hardware, storage space, notification permission, network status, and selected settings. Before important recording sessions, check camera permissions, battery optimization, available storage, notification settings, and encryption key backup status.
