Took a bit to figure out just click on the USA then next ... Then fill info next etc. etc. to connect properly but is a cool app no problem with Google Assistant now that got it connects to the Network .if do not do it this way then will always go to 5GHZ if have dual channel router an if try to enter say region-Canada in box(sign in.then leave box empty click USA only check mark show s up then click next, info filled next etc. etc. And should connect to the 2.4ghz without touching router.

Unable to connect the smart bulb to my Wi-Fi because of the nonsense reason that the password is too long to enter the app (by 1 character!! SMH). This is completely ridiculous as I have smart bulbs/plugs from 5 other vendors (e.g. TP-Link Kasa, Philips WiZ, Govee, etc.) and never had this password length problem. Better security (by more complex password) should always be welcome!
