Description

Mahjong is an enjoyable game, played around the world. However, for beginners (and even more experienced players!), calculating the value of a hand can be confusing. On top of that, payments between players after the value of each hand is calculated can also be tricky.

Mahjong Helper aims to simplify the tasks of scoring and payments between games. It can also be used to keep a history of matches played, and to easily experiment with different methods of scoring.

* Hand Scorer / Calculator with intuitive tile/set-type selector (press, slide, and release to choose a tile)
* Supports European Classical, Hong Kong, Japanese Modern / EMF Riichi scoring (with Dora tiles and Red Fives), and Chinese Official (MCR / Competition)
* 4, 3, and 2 player scoring modes
* Send scores from Hand Scorer to Score Sheet, or enter scores manually.
* Score Sheet calculates payments between players, supports "Ready" declarations and counters in Japanese Mahjong.
* see how the score is calculated on the "Scoring" panel - great for those learning the game, or just to double-check!
* Supports seat rotation between rounds, or groups that prefer keeping the same positions throughout.
* Share matches across devices - other players can keep a record of the match & contribute to scoring from their own devices (Android, iOS). Requires a data connection.

What I needed. I was actually going to just program my own web based match scoring system, but found this which suited my needs except for one suggestion. I play riichi/Japanese Mahjong often with my friends. We would usually play East round only matches since East/South round matches can take a very long time to play out. Especially if you don't have an automatic mahjong table. When "adding" a Japanese Modern match, can you put in the options a way to set the match as an East only match?

I love using this app for scoring games with my friends! We use it all the time for matches! I did notice that the arrow for going from Hand Scorer to the results screen still sends the score over, but doesn't change the tab. IDK if that's a local glitch. Also, I so wish I could have a link for matches, so I could use a tablet or screen as a scoreboard (bonus if it could read the last hand scored w/ breakdown!)!

We Always Use alot when play mahjong using MCR ruleset Chinese official.we have wonderfully experienced and found several bug for improvement 1. Cannot input thirteen Orphaned 2. Wrong calculation for knitted hand 3. And small other bug for improvement, We are willing to share our experience for better mahjong helper apps Looking forward for ur email, so we can give the detail feedback for future update
